6 Winter Looks to Make a Statement in the Colder Months

Written By Eliza Colón

For many of us, chilly temperatures have already started sneaking into our early mornings. Just because it’s getting cold out, doesn’t mean we can’t still be fly! We’ve narrowed down our favorite winter fashion trends from the runway, and the brands to keep your wardrobe current. We’re seeing lots of leather, fur, and kickass boots. Now you can slay all winter, stay warm, and support Black designers at the same time.

It might be getting chilly, but these fashion forward trends will keep you looking hot.

Corsets - Hanifa

Get ready to enhance your hourglass figure with a corset top or dress this winter. The Aniya Corset from Hanifa is curve-flattering, delicately cinches the waist, and the chartreuse color is a bold move.

Plaid - Zeli for She

This winter, grunge is back in fashion. We’re seeing plaid of all kinds from shirts and skirts, to jackets and two-piece sets. Zelie For She, designed and produced in Los Angeles, has some stylish plaid pieces. But act fast! Their designs are all limited edition, making them extra special.

Faux Fur - LITA by Ciara

Stay ultra-chic and cozy with a faux fur coat. The Amour Coat from LITA by Ciara is a snow leopard showstopper. Did we mention it’s made of recycled polyester spun from plastic bottles? High fashion with low impact on the planet.

Chunky Boots - Kendall Miles

It seems like chunky boots are here to stay and we love it! Pair them with a mini skirt and collared shirt, or your favorite jeans for an effortlessly cool vibe. We love these Ali Combat Boots from Kendall Miles…they’re manufactured in Italy and come in different colors.

Winter White - Rebdolls

Who said we can’t wear white after Labor Day? Crisp, winter white is all the rage this season and it’s giving us snow bunny vibes. Rebdolls has everything (literally, everything) you need to step out lookin fiiiine. (see slide 2)

Leather - Nicole Shante

With leather, the possibilities are endless! Show up to the next party channeling your inner biker gal with some faux leather from Nicole Shante’s FW22 collection. The designs are true craftsmanship, with pieces meant to last a lifetime.
