adding beauty to the neighborhood

An early innovator, Robina White, Founder and Owner of Hibiscus Flowershop, sought to open a flower shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn while many people told her it was not needed and the community would not appreciate her efforts or the products she intended to sell.

Despite the naysayers, White pressed on. Now, she has a thriving flower shop that brings beauty to the neighborhood each and every day - and the community certainly appreciates it!

“My daughter was and has always been the driving force. I have shown her that women are strong, able to start and sustain businesses, manage finances and attain wealth,” White told BLK OCEANS.

Hibiscus has evolved through the years and continues to do so. Through constant growth, they saw the importance of community and placed customer service as a top priority. From homemade products and same day, local delivery to landscape and garden design, White and her team go above and beyond for their customers to deliver on their slogan, “we’re not your ordinary flower shop.”

The shop is named after the Hibiscus flower, the national of flower of Haiti, Hawaii, Malaysia and South Korea, and a plant known for having many medicinal properties. In addition to selling flowers for every occasion, the online shop also features a variety of Hibiscus products: Hibiscus Tea, vegan Hibiscus Chocolate Fudge and Hibiscus and Rose Body Butter to name a few.
